Privacy Policy for Questward
Last updated: 2026-06-05
The short version
Questward does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any of your data. Everything you create in the app stays on your device, unless you export it or enable iCloud Backup. There are no user accounts, no sign-in, no developer servers, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking. The developer of Questward cannot see your data and never receives it from the app.
What data the app stores, and where
Questward is a personal journaling and quest-tracking app. The notes, quests, objectives, daily habits, journal entries, streaks, and settings you create are stored only on your device, in the app's private storage area (a local database). This information:
- is never sent to the developer by the app;
- is never sent to any server operated by the developer;
- is not shared with any third party by the app;
- is not used for advertising, analytics, profiling, or tracking of any kind.
The app does not connect to the internet to send or receive your content. It has no login, no account, and no associated online service. Because the Questward app stores all data only on your device, deleting the app deletes the data stored in the app (subject to the behavior of iCloud and your device, which are not within the developer's control).
Data Not Collected
Questward collects no data. In Apple's App Store privacy terms, this app falls under "Data Not Collected": the developer does not collect any data from this app.
Apple iCloud Backup
Like most iOS apps, Questward's on-device data may be included in your device's iCloud Backup if you have iCloud Backup turned on in iOS Settings. This is a feature of your Apple account and your device — the data is backed up to your iCloud and is governed by Apple's iCloud terms and privacy policy, not by the developer. The developer has no access to your iCloud backups.
Exporting your data
Questward lets you export a copy of your own data as a file (for example, a JSON backup), using the standard iOS share sheet. This only happens when you choose to do it from the app's tools. When you export, you decide where the file goes — for example, saving it to your own iCloud Drive, AirDropping it, or sending it to yourself. Any destination you pick (such as iCloud Drive) is your choice. The developer never receives a copy of your export from the app.
No third-party services or SDKs
Questward does not include any third-party software development kits, advertising networks, analytics tools, crash-reporting services, or social-media integrations. No third party receives data from the app.
No artificial intelligence data sharing
Questward does not send your content to any artificial-intelligence service or any other external service.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
This policy reflects an app that stores all data locally on your device and collects nothing. If a future version of the app adds any feature that sends data off the device, this policy will be updated to describe exactly what is sent, to whom, and why, before that feature is released.
